5K/half marathon training program
Community Health Network's training program will begin in mid-January 2009. The program will include a training program for walkers and runners who have a goal of completing a 5K race or a 13.1 mile half marathon.
- Runners and walkers participating in the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini Marathon or the Geist Half Marathon or 5K event in May are welcome to participate in the program.
- Adults who want to train for a race to run with a child will be able to get additional kid's training info for a small fee. The Geist Half Marathon will have many kids running the 5K and half marathon events so we encourage families to train together.
- All classes will be taught by health care professionals and/or running experts in partnership with The Running Company. Classes will be taught at BodyZone near Community Hospital North.
- Online registration will be available beginning in December 2008.
