Pharmacy Residency Thank you for your interest in our pharmacy residency programs. Our goal is to provide you with a residency experience that will prepare you for a lifetime of opportunities.

Our program provides training for two residents in the PGY1 year with additional residents in the Family Medicine, Administration, and Medication Safety specialty programs. We are fully accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists for our PGY1 residency.

As a resident in our program, you will train in a community-based hospital and health care system. Our residents enjoy training opportunities in settings ranging from acute care hospitals to a specialty cardiology hospital to a family physician medical clinic. In addition, experience will also be obtained in an outpatient anticoagulation clinic.

The residency program is affiliated with the Butler University College of Pharmacy. This relationship allows our residents to pursue an academic longitudinal experience with close faculty mentorship. The resident will have the opportunity to lead student case discussions and serve as a co-preceptor during the year.

Although our Web site contains a lot of information, it cannot tell you who we really are. We encourage you to communicate with any of our faculty or residents. Our residents are our greatest assets, and for prospective applicants are often your best sources of insider information regarding our program. Experience has shown us that the more you get to know us, the more likely you will want to join our program.

Congratulations on your decision to pursue residency training. We hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Bill Malloy, M.S., Pharm.D., BCPS
