Visiting Hours
Adults and children may visit. All visitors must be free of exposure to chicken pox or other communicable diseases and free of fever. Hospitals are full of patients fighting germs. Small children and individuals who have poor immune systems should beware. Visiting children must have adult supervision at all times.

Open visiting with the exception of 7 to 8 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Only two visitors allowed in the room at a time. - Inpatient Surgical Care

Open visiting - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
All visitors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian of the patient. Visitation is limited to four visitors at a time. Visits may be restricted for short periods, as patient needs demand. All visiting children under 14 years of age must stop at the nurses’ station and undergo a brief health screening and temperature check before they enter the patient's room. - Pediatrics
Open visiting. One parent or parent substitute (18 years or older) may spend the night with the child.

We are pleased to offer free tours of our new maternity facilities. Please reserve a space for each person in your party by calling 800-777-7775 or register online (choose "Tour Maternity - North" from the Class or Event Title options).

Each patient admitted to Community North will receive a personal visit from our patient concierge within 24-48 hours of admission. More about Patient Concierge services >>
Gallery Concierge
The Gallery Concierge is available to help hospital guests and employees with service requests and to make sure that all visitors have an exceptional experience at Community Hospital North. Your Gallery Concierge is located in the gallery entrance and assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. To request services, please e-mail Yvonne Shinkle or call 317-621-5444. There is no fee beyond the cost of the requested services.

- Salon services (massage, pedicure, manicure, etc.)

There are two ATM locations for your convenience:
- In the gallery, by the entrances to Starbucks and FigLeaf Boutique
- Just outside the east entrance of the cafeteria
Café and Refreshments
Community gift cards are accepted at all Community Health Network retail locations.
Bamboo Café—The café is located north of the hospital's emergency department. The café is open Monday through Sunday 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Great Cooks Rx Café—Located in the main lobby of the Indiana Surgery Center on the campus of Community Hospital North, this new café opened in November 2008. Quick and healthy menu selections are made fresh every day with natural ingredients and pre-packaged for your convenience by the renowned chefs at Great Cooks & Company. View menu >>

Starbucks—The foundation operates a full-service Starbucks coffee shop in the gallery, providing a complete menu of hot and cold beverages along with the food and gift items you're accustomed to finding at Starbucks.
Vending machines are available 24 hours a day across from the cafeteria’s west entrance.

Gift Shop & Boutique
Community gift cards are accepted at all Community Health Network retail locations.
Jasmine Gift Shop is located in the entrance gallery and staffed by volunteers. Jasmine carries specialty items, including original artwork, designer fragrances and cosmetics and fresh flowers from Palmer-Kelley Designs. Jasmine has an expanded food and beverage area plus all the old favorites, such as candy, magazines and personal care products. Jasmine’s new open, airy and customer-friendly space is 1,300 square feet, three times bigger than the previous location.

Wellspring Pharmacy offers competitive pricing and the convenience of getting your prescription filled immediately following a physician appointment or a hospital stay. Refills are also convenient, with online refill now available and UPS shipping available.

Cell Phones
Cell phones are allowed in all areas except for patient treatment areas because their signal could interfere with medical equipment in use.
Smoking
The hospital and the entire Community Hospital North campus are tobacco-free environments.
Smoking has been shown not only to compromise the health of those who smoke, but others who come into contact with the smoke. Therefore, in keeping with our mission to promote the health, wellness and comfort of our patients and employees, smoking is not permitted.
Pastoral/Spiritual Care
The Rollins Family chapel, located in the gallery, is a place open for prayer, meditation and reflection 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More about the Rollins chapel >>
Community Hospital North's pastoral relations department is committed to providing support services to patients, families and hospital staff, with respect to their own needs and traditions. Professionally trained chaplains are available on an individual basis to assist with pastoral/spiritual care and counseling needs. They also strive to connect individuals who desire pastoral care and other spiritual or religious interventions with their own faith leaders, rites and traditions.
To access pastoral care services, call the chaplain's office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 317-621-5282. Chaplains are on-call for emergencies at all other times, including on holidays.
